Hello loves, can we just take a second and talk about my obsession with antiques? I don’t know exactly where it stems from because if you asked me what I thought about an antique piece five years ago I would have told you it was junk. Back then my style was very modern but still neutral. I think my obsession may have started when I stumbled upon Liz Marie Galvan’s Instagram. I loved how she paired gorgeous antique finds with her modern Michigan Home. And over the years my love for old chippy finds has grown and I am absolutely head over heels in love with her vintage farmhouse. It may be my dream home, even with the farm animals! It’s funny how your tastes can change with time and I’m so happy that I discovered antiques and farmhouse style before we bought our first home. Because I love the cozy feel we have created in our DIY first house. And one of my first vintage decor pieces I ever purchased was a set of books. They are so perfect for layering and I love that each one tells a story, literally! So when I received this amazing book collection from Tattered Stacks I couldn’t wait to style it. And I thought our winter entry would be the perfect space. And if your swooning over this set like I am thank you have to head over and check out Tattered Stacks for yourself. Their Etsy shop is seriously amazing, filled with endless book sets, antique brass accents, book ends and so much more. Enjoy.
Hello loves, this may be the best Christmas present ever! We finally have a vaccume. I know that sounds absolutely crazy but ours broke a while back and we haven’t invested in a new one yet. So when I received some happy mail from bObsweep I was jumping for joy. I had always been interested in the robot type vacuum’s (mostly because I’m lazy and love the idea of something doing the work for me hahaha) so I couldn’t wait to try the bObi classic. Although they sell six different models in their collection I love that the classic is so sleek and of course white. It goes perfectly with our farmhouse! And the fact that you can operate from both a remote and the touch screen on the bObi is so cool. I also love that you can let it go on it’s own or use its waffle mode to direct it to the spaces you want. And I’m always pleasantly surprised that it works so well for such a little machine. I can safely say me and bObi are becoming fast friends, meaning I use her a few times weekly! She has made our busy lives much easier, especially since you can simply set it and forgot it! So if your always on the go like me make sure to head over and check out bObsweep for yourself. You can thank me later 🙂 [Read more…]
Hello loves, happy New Year!!! I was sitting here reflecting on 2017 today and this year has definitely been both crazy and amazing all at the same time. And although I loved it despite the ups and downs I have a feeling that 2018 will be the best one yet. Especially since we will be getting married in September. And I’m also hoping for big changes when it comes to my home decorating business and blog as well. Which means many more opportunities to share amazing shops with you guys! And I’m so excited to feature these brackets from Industrial Farm Co. today 🙂 If you know anything about me than you know I have a bit of an obsession with wood shelves and I thought they would be the perfect addition to this space. I have wanted to change up our master bathroom for some time and I’m loving how it’s coming along. And if your swooning over these brackets as much as I am head over to their shop. They sell everything from metal brackets, to blanket ladders, hooks and much more. You can thank me later.

You know I’m always on the hunt for antique finds and I’ve been loving this shop lately. It’s like shopping your favorite antique store from home, how can you go wrong? Hello loves, I know it’s been sooo long since I’ve shared my beauty room with you guys. But to be honest it’s been a mess for most of the fall and winter. Since I’m collecting decor and what not for our wedding it has become more of a storage closet. Haha! So last weekend I decided to be productive for once and organized every room in our house. And I couldn’t wait to share this space!! I featured our rustic closet on the blog last week and I thought I would share a little about my favorite spot in our own house, my vanity tonight. Not only do I love to jam out to John Mayer pandora and get ready here but my sweet mom gave me this antique piece that was hers when I was growing up. And it means so much to me. I can remember watching her do her makeup and wishing I could do makeup like her one day. Or sitting on her little vanity stool while she did my hair for school. So having it styled in this space makes me happy. But I did decide to add a farmhouse touch by painting on a matte finish, changing the knobs to these brass vintage style ones and hanging this gorgeous reclaimed wood mirror. Also, I recently added this super cute Pom Pom basket from Lorena Canals Rugs to organize my Christmas wrapping paper and I’m LOVING it. As well as their entire site! They sell everything from these fabric baskets to throw pillows and blankets, wall decor and rugs. And the best part is that both their rugs and pillows are washable. Perfect for those of you with little ones! They were also so sweet to send over a super cute fringe pillow, so keep an eye out for a post about that coming soon. And head over to their site to get some cozy accents for your home. Enjoy.
Hello loves, it still blows my mind that we are only a few days away from Christmas. And although I’m going to be so sad when we have to take down our holly jolly decor I’m a little excited to style our home for winter. I love the pops of red but I’ll always be a neutral girl at heart. And I plan to keep the rustic ski lodge lodge look throughout the season! I can’t wait to feature it next week. But for now I thought I would give to guys a sneak peak and feature this amazing waffle knit throw from Loomstead. I love the different texture it adds to our ruffle bedding and the taupe color is perfection! And if your obsessing over this throw you have to check out their entire collection. Their chunky knit blankets give me all the winter feels. Head over to Loomstead and add a cozy touch to your home. And click the read more link for a closer look, enjoy. [Read more…]
