Hello loves, moving to our new home has opened up the door to so many new opportunities and collaborations. I have been so blessed to get the chance to work with so many amazing shops like Revelation House. I was seriously humbled when they asked if I would photograph some of their signs with my own home in the background. Then when I opened up the happy mail the find nine gorgeous signs I couldn’t even contain my excitement. Of course I was also super nervous, I now had the responsibility of taking someone else’s photos and I wanted them to be perfect. I spent the entire weekend finding the perfect spot for each sign and trying to capture each gorgeous piece the best that I could. I figured the least I could do in exchange for this amazing opportunity is to feature their shop on my blog. So here is the first sign, “together is our favorite place to be”. It’s so fitting because our little loft space has definitely become on our favorite cozy hangouts for just the two of us. This sign sells for $49.99 and looks amazing paired in a rustic collage. Make sure to check out Revelation House and fill your home with their stunning handmade signs, magnets and trays.

Hello loves, I don’t know about you girls but I’m seriously fall OBSESSED! I think it has officially become my favorite season and I can’t get enough fall fashion and decor. That’s why I have been filling my home with fall scents since the first week of August. I couldn’t even wait anymore, the smell of pumpkin, apples and autumn leaves makes any space feel cozy and warm. One of my all time favorite scents has to be anything pumpkin and when the candle comes in a gorgeous mason jar that’s just a bonus!! That’s why I so excited when I received this happy mail from the Etsy shop Rustic Flame Candle Co. I mean pumpkin pecan waffles in the cutest mason jar with a handle, how can go wrong? It honestly smells ahh-mazing (and may make you hungry too :)) They sell tons of different scents for all seasons, my favorite being the fall ones of course like harvest pear and pumpkin souffle! They are hand poured and come in two types, soy candles in mason jars (16oz and 8oz) and wax melts. The candle featured above sells for only $16 and many of the wax melts are only $5! Make sure to check out Rustic Flame Candle Co. and prepare for fall with their amazing scents.
Hello loves, yes I know it’s wrong but I can’t help myself. I have a serious obsession with fall decor and find myself already adding pieces around my home. I will admit that I have some self control and have started a pile of amazing fall signs and cute little pumpkins that will definitely be up by September 1st 🙂 That being said I have been doing a lot of planning when it comes to fall decor and have a pretty goof idea of how I want to decorate my mantle. I absolutely love my fireplace and consider it the focal point of my living room so it’s always one of the first places I think about when decorating. Although I don’t make many crazy changes and am not the girl that is going to take every piece down and start from scratch I do like to add subtle pieces to change it up for the holidays and different seasons. I absolutely love the look of my rustic pumpkin from Tjmaxx where it is but I’m thinking about making a new burlap banner that says “happy fall”. Keep an eye out for a DIY on that, super easy! I will also add a cute little pumpkin on top of my vintage scale to balance the mantle. The last fall accent I will be adding are some gorgeous wooden pumpkins in place of the antique milk jug and wallah, the perfect and simple farmhouse mantle. Make sure to keep an eye out and see where you can get your own amazing rustic fall decor for a great price, happy almost fall y’all! [Read more…]
Hello loves, since doing our kitchen reno I haven’t gone into too much detail about the changes we made (minus out DIY shelving and our concrete countertops) so I wanted to take a minute and talk a little bit about how we created our farmhouse kitchen under $600! I’m extremely proud of what we accomplished with so little because whenever I hear about kitchen renos they usually cost between $15k and $20k. Of course this kitchen wasn’t falling apart, we were still able to keep all of the appliances and kitchen cabinets so I guess you could say we gave this space a “facelift”. We started with painting, we used Behr cabinet enamel $32 to change the look of the dated wood and give it a brighter whiter farmhouse feel. We left out the center cabinet over the sink because we then unscrewed that piece and ripped it down to create room for our shelving. After that started on the backsplash. I originally wanted antique tin tiles but that would have been super expensive so we decided on the classic subway tile with grey grout and I loveee how it turned out. Honestly my boyfriend did both the backsplash and countertops by himself and I did all painting and sealing. The box of tiles cost $43 but we ended up having to purchase two so the total cost was $100 for the backsplash including grout. We then started on the infamous Ardex feather finish concrete countertops. I recently did a DIY post on them, click here to check them out. The total cost $68 was which is such a steal for any type of countertop. We then built our shelving above the sink, click here to read about our DIY which cost only $40. The last addition to our little farmhouse kitchen was this amazing farm sink from Ikea. I had been dreaming and searching for one forever and this double apron sink from Ikea was by far the most inexpensive one around! It sells for only $312 which is crazyyy cheap and they sell the single bowl for only $185. How can you go wrong? Once all was said and done came the fun part, DECORATING! It’s still a work in progress but I am so happy with everything! The total cost for our kitchen facelift was roughly $550 and makes such a difference. Hello loves, I’m so excited to finally feature these gorgeous vintage feedsack pillows from the Etsy shop Whalesharking. I have been swooning over these beauties for a while so I was ecstatic when I got the opportunity to work with their shop. Not only to they make the most amazing farmhouse pillows but they also sell some primitive and rustic finds like antique crates! These feedsack pillows are so unique and the perfect addition to any farmhouse, rustic or shabby chic space. Plus, they can be used outdoors as well! The vintage distressed Bemis A extra heavy grain sacks that are used to make these pillows are from the 1920s, washed of course but still have some stains and imperfections which really adds character in my opinion. They were sweet enough to send me a set of three with these awesome patches throughout and I’m OBSESSED. They have already been moved throughout my entire home and seriously look amazing in every space. This particular Bemis pillow sells for $28 but they also sell tons of sets and different styles ranging from $20-$58. Make sure to check out Whalesharking and one of these vintage beauties to your own home, enjoy. [Read more…]
Hello loves, if you couldn’t already tell I have a slight obsession with all things fall including decor! Since we have been apartment living for years and had roommates for the majority of the time I never felt the need to stock up on seasonal decor. Then last fall when we started our home search I grew more and more obsessed. Every time we would drive around “home shopping” I would swoon over everyones fall front porch filled with beautiful pumpkins and decorative wreaths. Since then I have been dreaming of my own cozy fall pieces to fill my house. That’s why I decided I would do a fall series on my blog for the month of September! I will be featuring tons of amazing shops and their even more amazing fall decor that you can purchase yourself 🙂 Everything will be reasonably priced of course and the perfect blend of farmhouse and rustic. I wanted to start by giving you guys a sneak peak of this grateful, thankful, blessed sign from the Etsy shop Splendid Beginnings. I received this amazing happy mail yesterday and just couldn’t wait to share. Although I will be featuring it again in September it’s a great piece to keep up all year long. It’s just one of several gorgeous handmade fall signs and sells for only $25, you can’t go wrong. Make sure to check out their shop and get a jump start on your own fall decor, enjoy.
